Your first steps in TALORD Arena
Never played MU or an online RPG? Everything you need is here, in short. The game also has a one-minute guided tour, offered to every new hero and replayable from Settings → Interface.
Choosing a class
Five classes, five play styles
There is no wrong choice. If this is your first game, the Warrior or the Monk are the most forgiving start.
| Class | Role | How it plays | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warrior | Frontline | Front-line melee. Tough, high HP, hits hard up close; Shield Bash stuns. Just walk in and swing: the easiest start. | ★☆☆ Easy |
| Lancer | Reach & burst | Reach melee. A long spear hits whole lines of monsters; charges in and pulls back. Good for players who like positioning. | ★★☆ Medium |
| Archer | Long range | Ranged damage. Shoots from afar and kites monsters; fragile up close. Keep moving and keep your distance. | ★★☆ Medium |
| Monk | Battle healer | Support fighter. Medium range, heals himself on every hit and heals the party with a prayer. Very forgiving, great in a party. | ★★☆ Medium |
| Mage | Ranged burst | Glass cannon. The biggest area damage (Fireball, Frost Nova) but low HP and mana-hungry. For players who plan every fight. | ★★★ Hard |
The basics
Controls and combat
Moving
- Phone: drag the joystick on the left. The further you drag, the faster you walk.
- PC: W A S D or the arrow keys. Shift for a quick dash.
- World map: tap the minimap or press M.
Attacking
- Tap a monster to lock it (a ring appears), then hold the attack button. Your hero keeps hitting the locked target.
- Skills (Q E R F on PC) cost mana and need a few seconds to recharge. One skill is worth about 2 to 4 basic hits, so save them for groups and tough monsters.
- Potions: red for HP, blue for mana (keys 1 and 2). Drink before the bar runs out.
Levels and stats
- Killing monsters fills the yellow XP bar. Every level gives stat points: spend them with the STATS button.
- Monsters and bosses far below your level give very little XP. Hunt on a map that fits your level.
- Falling on a hunting map costs a little XP (you never lose a level) and sends you back to the city.
The AUTO helper
- From level 20, on hunting maps. Turn it on with Z or the AUTO button.
- It attacks, uses skills and picks up loot nearby. It costs a little gold and stops when the bag is full.
Loot and gear
What to do with everything that drops
Loot
- Monsters drop gold, potions, jewels and gear. Walk over them to pick them up (auto-pickup is on by default).
- A green name = an Excellent item with bonuses, blue = Ancient. The higher your level, the higher the grade of the items that drop.
- Every map boss drops a big pile of loot, part of it always for the top damage dealer's class. Bosses return every hour.
Bag, equipping and selling
- Open the bag (I or B), tap an item → EQUIP. Higher grades need a higher level.
- Selling many: SELECT TO SELL, then tick items, or use Grade 0-1 / Grade 0-3 / All. Worn items, the vault and market listings are never sold.
- An item's window also has SELL ALL LIKE THIS for all its plain copies.
The Blacksmith
- In the city, the Blacksmith upgrades gear from +1 to +15 with jewels. More + = more power.
- High upgrades can fail, so upgrade the gear you plan to keep first.
Quests
- The Quest Board in the city has daily quests (reset at midnight) and weekly ones (on Sunday).
- Tap the quest chip to see your progress and claim rewards.
The world
Maps, party and chat
Maps
- Start in the Spring Meadow and the Autumn Orchard. Leave the city through its gates, or teleport from the world map to any map your level allows.
- Each map has its own level range and boss. See the map list.
Party
- Tap another hero → INVITE TO PARTY. Up to 5 heroes per party.
- Kill XP is shared between nearby party members, with a 5% to 20% bonus by party size. Quest kills are shared too.
- Members show under your health plate, with their HP and map.
Chat
- /p text = party message, /w Name text = whisper.
- Tap another hero to whisper, invite to a party or clan, trade or duel.
